Wilderness Beach Lodge sits on the shores of Settlers Cove, in beautiful Port Lions, Alaska. Port Lions is a small native village which is accessible by boat or plane from the City of Kodiak. Port Lions was established after the 1964 Alaska earthquake which destroyed Afognak Village, which is a few miles to the North. The Lions Club International and others were essential in rebuilding the devastated village to its present location. In its honor the name Port Lions was officially adopted.
